We use a Ground Penetrating Radar and Radio Frequency equipment.
We perform utility clearance using several different methods:
Perform a walk around of the site and look for utilities in the area, locate any trenches and inspect the building's interior by looking for pipes coming in or going out.
Talk with someone at the site who may know of utilities in the area (if this person is available).
Review prints or pictures of the area (if available).
Connect a radio frequency to metallic pipes and locate them using a frequency detector.
Run a GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) scan of a 10'x10' area over the boring location to look for anamolies or changes in soil composition, which may indicate a trench or buried pipe.
OUR METHOD IS
TO IDENTIFY ALL UTILITIES!
We offer these services to avoid underground utilities and recommend the safest approach to each boring.
