We use the VacMaster 1000 systems for our air excavation needs.

We can vacmaster a large hole to expose a pipe or a small 3" hole to perform soil sampling with minimal surface damage.

The VacMaster air lance delivers 100psi at a 100SCFM air to loosen the soil. A blower is used to create a 15" Hg vacuum to remove the soil from the hole. The air will not damage plastic or steel pipes, making this a "SAFE DIG" approach!

This is the only alternative to digging near gasoline product lines since hand augers will damage the delicate fiberglass lines.
